Job Ref. :uker16153 Plc / Control Engineer   Job Location: Peterborough, Lincoln, Lincolnshire   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: £25 - £30 Ltd Job Details Schneider (Modicon) and/or Siemens S7 PLCs - Baggage Handling Applications - HNC level PLC Engineer - Airports and Logistics JOB DESCRIPTION Electrical/Control System Engineers are required at all levels up to principal engineer to work in the Airports Projects Engineering team which produces state of the art plant control and IT systems for baggage handling applications at the UKs largest airports. Essential skills and Qualifications The person should be qualified to at least HNC level in an appropriate subject and with relevant experience. Have a good knowledge and understanding of PLC software for plant control and experience of producing software for Schneider (Modicon) and/or Siemens S7 PLCs. Have a good knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering for medium and low voltage power distribution, instrumentation and related cabling, panel design for motor starters and PLC systems etc. Be capable of demonstrating a structured approach to justifying key engineering decisions. Be able to work under own initiative, be well motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines within the design/project team. Engineers will be required to interface with the client and other project partners at all levels. Have a good personal planning, organisational and analytical skills Be capable of working to challenging programme and budgetary constraints Good personal planning and organisational skills.
