| Main Responsibility:
The Windows Platform Support Engineer focuses on continuous operation of the Microsoft operating systems, many of them running in a high availability environment. The main goal is to minimise the amount of unplanned downtime in the customers production environment and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. The Windows Platform Support Engineer is responsible to define and execute Work orders, keep contact to the customer, work on Windows incidents as a 3rd level supporter, identify and solve problems, consulting, implementation and system management for the Operating system. Participates in availability-, capacity- and change management According to our service level agreements we commit to our customers short response times and to fix problems within a given timeframe.
Job Requirements Essential & Preferred
Essential: · Excellent in Win2000/Win2003 · Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience · Microsoft Certified System Engineer · At least 4 years practical experience in NT4.0/Windows200x administration · Good understanding of high availability environments, MS cluster knowledge · Analytical problem-solving skills · Experience in Middleware and BackOffice applications · Experience in Software for visual Server · Analytical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills · Special technical hardware knowledge in Intel Architecture/Itanium server · Good understanding in SAN Technology and SAN environments · Handling of Licences Management |
