Job Ref. :uker15435 Contact Dab Software Engineer   Job Location: Cambridgeshire, Cambridge   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Neg Job Details This is a challenging role for a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer who can demonstrate solid experience in hardware/embedded software integration, systems engineering and system test and debugging, ideally in digital radio/networking related products. The successful candidate will join a team of engineers designing, developing and integrating a variety of embedded software including drivers, codecs and protocol stacks for use in our DAB and multimedia SoCs in high-volume consumer electronics products. The job entails: * Integration of new hardware and software systems * Developing, testing and maintaining a wide variety of embedded software including applications, drivers, and networking protocols * Working as part of a team of other hardware/software engineers, partners and suppliers to ensure the successful development and testing of reference platforms for consumer applications * Providing technical support for developers, partners, customers and suppliers * Developing and maintaining software specifications, instructions, application notes, etc. Qualifications: * Good knowledge of hardware and software architectures with at least 5 years experience of systems engineering * Advanced skills in debugging complex hardware/software * A good appreciation of electronics hardware, test equipment and tools * Extensive C programming experience in an embedded environment * Good honours degree in Maths, Communications Engineering, Computer Systems or a related discipline * Excellent written and oral communications skills * Experience of using UNIX/Linux cross*d We will not provide UK work permits.
