Job Ref. :uker15383 Electrical Systems Engineer (rail)   Job Location: Harrogate, Scarborough, York   Terms: Contract or permanent   Salary: Neg Job Details The primary purpose of this position within the Electrical Systems engineering team is to assist in the specification and integration of new electrical systems on rail rolling stock projects. This will include generation of technical requirement specifications, review of supplier proposals and liaison with other Engineering functions to ensure the design meets the requirements. The engineer will also be responsible for identifying and overseeing validation and verification activities to demonstrate compliance of the designs with the technical requirements. Prepare electrical schemes by providing design input to the ordinary train control system. Produce and manage the specification of one or more electrical systems for the rolling stock design. Manage the integration of one or more electrical systems into the rolling stock design. Assist with the electrical control and integration of mechanical systems as required. Liaise with other engineering functions to ensure the emerging design meets their requirements. You will have Significant knowledge of electrical rolling stock systems. Experience of system specification and integration into the rolling stock design. Ability to communicate engineering issues to people at all levels including non engineering personnel. Ability to successfully manage and prioritise workload in line with pre-determined deadlines. Experience and understanding of group standards. We will not provide UK work permits.
