Job Ref. :uker15295 Process Control Software Engineers   Job Location: Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Fareham, Portsmouth, South   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Excellent Job Details Our client, a leading provider of Process Solutions to the oil and gas industries, is currently seeking to appoint a number of Senior Software Engineers to work within their offshore gas and oil refining service sectors from their offices in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will hold a BEng or an Honours degree in a scientific discipline and possess programming skills in C / C++ and / or Visual Basic, with other high-level language experience. You will be expected to take a lead role in delivering software modifications and solutions to our customers, both onshore and offshore and should have experience of project management. Experience in Distributed Control Systems is desirable as are networking skills and knowledge of Microsoft products. Technical knowledge of Honeywell TPS (HPM, AM, HG, Uniformance) and / or Experion PKS systems and Real-time software development experience, preferably within the hydrocarbon industry would be a distinct advantage. Experience of Network design / implementation is also required. The role will require the provision of software maintenance and customer support and the ability to work unsupervised on onshore and offshore customer sites with on-call cover where required. Other responsibilities will include adherence to quality procedures and guidelines.
